Changing the Game

Changing the Game - Jaci Burton

Sports agent Liz Darnell will do anything to win back her number-one client, baseball pro Gavin Riley. And Gavin's more than ready- especially when Liz is offering herself as part of the bargain. But when love unexpectedly enters the playing field, neither Liz nor Gavin are ready for the biggest game-changer of all. Excerpt:

I was excited when I got the email that I won the ARC of this book… I couldn’t believe I never win anything. Absolutely anything. Well I do just not on twitter. And not very frequently. So when the book arrived a week later I dropped everything and opened the pages.

The story was very well written and the dynamics of their relationship was in fact realistic. I get the fact that some people may think, how could Gavin date Liz after what she did to his brother Mick. But honestly we all know it happens in the real world. Maybe not as quickly but it does happen.
I will be the first to admit I did not like Liz going into the story just because of what she did to Tara and Nathan in The Perfect Play. But that should tell you one thing. Excellent Writing! When you can despise a character and want only bad things to happen to them. Well, I for one think the author did their job.
Then to make you root for Elizabeth as your reading the story and then seeing Mick for the selfish dickhead he was through out Gavin and Liz’s relationship. Amazing!
I went from disliking Liz to loving her tough as nails attitude. And to see her give herself completely to Gavin was just a beautiful work of art.
Gavin didn’t even realize what was happening with his relationship. And like all men he did some pretty stupid things. Like not be there for Liz when she needed him most. And accusing her of not having his best interest at heart. *tears* I had tears in my eyes at one point because I ached for what Liz was experiencing.

Jaci’s writing is amazing and I can’t wait for Taking a Shot to come out with sexy Ty! Good Lord I can see it now!

The Sex in the book was hot and steamy and saucy. Gavin is definitely a man’s man! Liz is was not afraid to tell Gavin just how to give it to her and where. I couldn’t stop turning the pages.

I loved how Liz was able to open up and let go and Gavin was able to stand up for what he wanted and to see the relationship through to the end, even when he’d been a total ass. He was able to jump right in and make the play!
I was thoroughly engrossed the entire time I was reading and that to me is the whole point of reading a well written story. To get caught in the pages, to be entertained, to get fully into the story and soak up all the words. I gave this book a 5 on good reads… It was worth every star… I give this a Delicious Rating!

For my Unleash your inner bad girl challenge this was well worth the read! Be strong like Liz and don’t take shit! Unleash your inner bad girl and tell your other half exactly what you want! Even if its something like “More ice please” Don’t be afraid do the damn thing! Do it now!

Be Sure to Look for Taking the Shot Coming in February 2012
